Education
The University of St. Thomas
Advertising became my passion before I knew what it was. Fun fact: As a kid, I had a special talent for reciting my favorite commercials and radio ads to my parents.
Now, after moving to the Twin Cities from Des Moines, Iowa, I am learning the ins and outs of strategic communication at St. Thomas, so eventually, I can be the one writing those ads some kid weirdly memorizes.
Major: Strategic and Business Communication Co-major
Minor: Psychology

UROP Grant Recipient
Bechdel Tested, Box Office Approved!
During the summer of 2024, I participated in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) as a Young Scholars Grant recipient.
I researched whether female representation, both on and off-screen, influenced the financial success of movies.
Results:
Movies that pass the Bechdel Test result in $44 million higher box office revenue and $28 million more in domestic box office revenue!
Crazy right? However, only around half (54%) of sampled movies pass the Bechdel Test.

Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) provides great insight into the PR industry, provides hands-on experience of PR agency and corporate life, and sets a solid foundation of networks for post-graduation. I joined PRSSA as a member in my sophomore year to learn more about what working in the PR industry meant. During my time, I met many great PR professionals in the agency, corporate, and non-profit sectors, attended local PRSA and PRSSA events, and gained real-world knowledge and experience.
During my senior year of college, I became the club president and am currently working on expanding our reach by targeting freshman and sophomore students interested in communications, PR, advertising, marketing, or any related field.
We also partnered with the Pinky Swear PACK club on campus, which is a part of a national non-profit called the Pinky Swear Foundation—an organization that helps kids with cancer.
Our goal was to help promote this year’s “Cancer is Messy” fundraiser, in which we chose to host a pie in the face event on campus. Our social media and physical promotional efforts around campus helped the club raise over $1,000 and place 3rd among the top fundraisers across the US.
